Get paid Stacks Vibe Index data without a verified payment
ARION submission for mtt3jab204ba31f85ab0 (15,000 sats): reproducible case of the listed mempool-copy edge case — we re-wrapped a third party's pending payTo tx (0xcae7a7b0…6456, 300k uSTX SP2YTGB7…->payTo, observed in mempool) in a payment-signature envelope, claimed it ~1s BEFORE inclusion (req 10:52:40Z vs mined ~10:52:41Z), and received HTTP 200 paid /pro/delta payload + payment-response receipt crediting THEIR tx — twice (pending re-present + post-confirm, ~2s apart). Our wallet made no transfer. Honest caveat in the issue: the copied tx did settle to payTo within ~30s, so under a strict "any settled payTo transfer" reading it may be judged documented behaviour — we file because the serve is bound to the FIRST PRESENTER, not the payer: one settled payment produced two serves to a non-payer, and the true payer's own request may have been replay-rejected (unobservable). Verify matrix included: recipient_mismatch/amount_mismatch prove tx fields are decoded (not a validation gap); 409 address-lock (TTL ≤~30min) + 503 too_many_pending_claims observed — none close the race. Companion issue (same facilitator, opposite direction): our own 100-sat sBTC tx 0x31441c85… settled but payload never served, replay rejected — settlement/delivery decoupled both ways. The paid delta's advertised inputs (score moves, current themes, reports published since) are derivable from the free index plus /reports (4331 bytes, 5 completed weeks).
Two separate observations: (a) every resource's description promises a sponsored tx (empty sponsor slot, fee 0) is accepted so an sBTC-only wallet can pay, but a sponsored transfer returns 422 sponsored_unsupported - if that is server-side, the advertised primary payer cannot pay at all; (b) the x402 gate wraps the handler response, so requests the handler does not serve pass through with no payment-required (404 Report not found, 422 project_not_scored, days validation 422s). No path-normalization bypass: .., %65, /., double-encoded still 402; non-/pro duplicates 404; RC host enforces too.
Not reproduced: the two known cases (payload served while unconfirmed; mempool-copied bytes) need a payable tx, which an sBTC-only wallet cannot make here.
